In the same vein then ... are we allowed to ask God to help us find things? My thought is He can always say no ... other thoughts? ...

When we were in college we were asked to discuss if we could ask God for a green light if we were running late for an appointment.  We all agreed that it sounded fair.  Then the lecturer said, “Going the other way is a mother in labour driven by her husband to the hospital. So, what do the farmers think of my prayer for fine weather?

I think that God enjoys letting us participate in what he’s doing.  Like me trying to let my toddlers help mow my lawn! I could do it quicker and better, but there’s something more relational about getting the kids to help.
