Pastoral Pathways

Three Pillars of Pastoral Care

Pillar 1: Pastoral care is delivered through our small group and house church network. More information is found here

Pillar 2: A Pastoral Care team operates to ensure to the best of our ability that everyone feels like they belong and are part of the church.

Pillar 3: A neighbourhood care and service centre will be developed and brought into action in the near future.

Men’s empowerMENt

The World Needs Godly Men!

We take this challenge seriously!
Men’s breakfasts, Mentoring, Rough It Retreats, Prayer Cells and Spiritual Challenges are just the beginning as our men are encouraged to seek out their own faith in what is often a woman oriented world of faith.
We believe that in order to be godly, men need each other and God himself.

Men’s Breakfasts start at 8am and finish around 10:30am
Men’s Movie Nights start with a BBQ from 6pm

Small Groups

Small Groups are a priority among us. As a church gets bigger, it’s easy to get comfortable with shallow anonymous relationships.

To encouraging belonging at all levels, we have a range of small groups available, including women’s groups that meet both in the evening and during the day, men’s groups and House Churches.

Bible Reading Challenge

We have discovered that reading the Bible makes a difference!

The Bible Reading Challenge began in May, 2009 when about ten of us read the Bible in 90 days.  So great was the impact that we decided that there will always be a Bible reading challenge on the go.  Some are easy, some not so easy.  All are worthwhile!

Participants keep in contact by email and/or Facebook for updates, commentaries, discussion etc.

Challenges are updated often…

CURRENT CHALLENGE:

The Bi90ten challenge is here!  It starts on Wednesday 5 May.
A whole group of us are going to have a crack at reading the Bible right through in 90 days.
I’ve done it two years in a row now and really can’t wait to get it started.
It’s the 3 months of the year when I feel the most disciplined in my life.
• PLUS: The sense of achievement is awesome.
• PLUS PLUS: I learn so much about the big picture in the Bible.
• PLUS PLUS PLUS: I feel close to God doing this.

Mentoring

There is a high degree of participation in mentoring and being mentored. We have seen that mentoring in all its forms contributes enormously to mature spiritual formation.
Opportunities exist to be mentored, enter into prayer cells, and join spiritual formation covenant groups.
This aspect of our church life has proven to be one of the most significant in creating lasting discipleship.
