Our Children’s Ministry is not a babysitting service, but a recognised mission area. Children are encouraged in the Christain faith in a safe and friendly environment. Currently there are five age groups from creche to upper primary school.
The Bean Bag Group is the oldest age group where children are challenged and encouraged in their faith in readiness for high school.
Mentoring by older, mature people is a new feature of our Children’s Ministry.
All workers are trained in child protection and strict safety guidelines are followed.

Being involved with the local school communities is an import way of outworking our mission. It shows that we are willing to help, show kindness and to live out our Christian faith in a way which breaks down the long held, yet false, stereotypes of churches.
We regularly send LAP and other volunteers to Parkside Primary School.
Our Children’s Ministry Worker, Eve, is the CPSWorker at Parkside Primary School.
Our Youth Pastor, Garry Parker is the CPSWorker at Unley High School.
These good connections help us to be good neighbours and to live our faith with authenticity.
Parkside Baptist came into being as a church plant of Flinders St Baptist in the late 1800’s. Recent property renovations have created a more flexible space that will hopefully see the Parkside Baptist Church continuing to find new ways to serve the local community and beyond for another 125 years.
