Child Safe Environment

We highly value our children’s ministry and therefore we are a child safe compliant church, with child protection and mandatory notification training in place for all of our children’s leaders and teachers. Our leaders have working with children checks to comply with the regulations of the Baptist Churches of SA. Any person wishing to volunteer must also sign the Ministry Covenant - See HERE

At Parkside Baptist Church was are passionate about seeing children grow as disciples of Jesus.

   Our vision is:

Parent room and Mothers Room

We have a parent room full of toys available to children up to the age of 3 years old during our Sunday service. Parents are more than welcome to use this space as required. A speaker installed allows parents to listen to the service while being in the parent room. There is also a private feeding room next to the sound desk where mums can and feed their babies during the service.

Kidz Ministry 

Our kids' program caters for children age 2 - year 6. We run three different groups;

Seedlings - age 2 - Reception

L-H2O (Living water) - year 1 - year 3

Fruitloops - year 4 - year 6 

Each group heads out for their program around 10:30am, during the service and run for about an hour, after which the younger children are returned to their parents in church at approx 11:30am. Programs include worship, games, play, prayer and age-appropriate teaching that encourages kids to engage with God's word and apply it to their lives. During school holiday time children remain in church. Service leaders are mindful of engaging young people and often include 'kids talks'. Kids' packs are available for children to do in the service while remaining with their parents. Children are welcome to bring quiet activities as well. 

Upper Primary

Our Year 7s are a part of our youth program. Youth stay in the church service a little longer than the Kidz Ministry and instead go out to the youth program ‘VEG’ at the start of the sermon at around 11:00am for a Bible study. 

Are you new?

If your family is attending Parkside Kidz Ministry for the first time, we are so excited to have you. When the children head out to their program please make your way into the foyer and meet one of our friendly leaders who will go through what you need to know and ask you to fill in an enrollment form. They will also take you and your child to the appropriate group where you can meet the leaders and children.
